Updates from our Reaching Out committee:
Where does your outreach money go? During the past year over $10,000 was raised from you for outreach. Watch here for thumbnail sketches about organizations who received these dollars.
$1500 stayed within the United Church fold, and specifically Chinook winds region. The UCC and Presbyterian Church share a campus ministry. Lakeview sends money yearly to support this. We also continue to support Camp Kasota established 1925 and still running on the shores of Sylvan Lake. And under the church fold is Calgary Affirming ministry serving needy LGBTQ+2S individuals in the city. Your outreach committee has ongoing discussions as to where your dollars should go. Please contact Sue Spratt with suggestions. We are interested in needy organizations that do not have a high profile. For photos and more details please see the print out in the narthex.
Thank you to everyone who has helped fill the Food Bank boxes and those who donated cash for the Food Bank.
