Special thanks to all the “Christmas Elves” who helped with the lights, decorating and sprucing up for the Advent/Christmas Season - awesome volunteer work.
Wednesday Bible Study - Will resume on Wednesday January 7th, 2026
Friday Faith Journey Study Group - Will resume on Wednesday January 9th. The new book is “Man’s Search for Meaning” by: Victor Frankl.
Sanctuary Sounds - Christmas Around the Piano with Cody Obst and special guest soprano: Hannah Pagenkopf and pianist: Antonina Cox and the Lakeview UC Choir - Wednesday December 17th at 12 noon.
Free Books!
Our library is overflowing with recent donations so we are taking the opportunity to purge old and/or seldom used books to make room for the new. Please help yourself to the books on the small table in the Narthex.
Also the book display shelf is filled with Advent & Christmas books that you are most welcome to borrow.
Updates from our Reaching Out committee:
WAYS TO GIVE BACK THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON:
1. Mittens and hats for the Children’s cottage on the mitten tree. Hand knitted scarves for adults are also welcome and will go to the Central UC HUB for
distribution to the homeless.
2. New socks and underwear for the homeless to also be distributed by the HUB. Most needed: men’s large, women’s medium. Long Johns especially
needed. Into the Santa sack.
3. Gift cards for Glamorgan Care Centre in $10 & $20 amounts. This year they are requesting cards from 7/11 (the machine is working again); the Dollar Store, and again Tim Hortons. Box labelled in the church office.
Thank you to everyone who has helped fill the Food Bank boxes and those who donated cash for the Food Bank. Some folks have asked that the boxes remain so they can be refilled.
Sign up sheets are in the narthex for the January 4th Eggs Benedict Breakfast…..
