Sign up sheets for Coffee and Fellowship time are on the bulletin board in the Narthex. Special thanks to those who have signed up for coffee. There are still some spots available….1 in October and few in December ….
The City of Calgary has announced that effective November 4th, we will have compost collection available for us! We will comply by using compostable cups and bowls when necessary. There will be a container in the upper hall for all compostables and we will recycle them weekly.
Next Council Meeting - Wednesday Nov 18th at 6:30pm in the lower hall boardroom.

We are hosting a Food Bank Drive for the Calgary Food Bank for the month of October. The boxes are in place starting Sunday October 4th…. all donations of new food items (expired items not accepted), dry goods such as tissues, bathroom tissue, baby wipes and diapers are all needed. Please refer to the wish list beside the boxes in the narthex.

As winter approaches, we are collecting warm winterwear for Central UC HUB –Winter clothing, blankets, sleeping bags etc. Must be clean, new or gently used. Please place in the black bin in the narthex. Thank you……
Just a reminder that if you have Blue Bin donations - it is for clothing and linens such as towels, bedding etc. WE DO NOT ACCEPT household items - donations must fit inside the Blue Bin. If the bin is full - please wait to donate - the bin is emptied on Wednesdays.
There is joy in Faith through Music and Stories.......
The generosity of the David Ferguson Music Fund has given us the opportunity to offer a Sunday children’s program that includes 30 minutes of music. Instruction is provided by Forte Music Studio. The program begins with a brief welcome, announcements, song/hymn or story. At 10:15 the children are invited to the Forte Music room where professionally trained instructors lead child-friendly activities, introducing the children to the basics of music theory. The program is followed by 15 to 20 minutes of crafts, dance, story or games, mirroring the theme of the day. There is no cost for this program and all children, ages 3 to 8 years old, are welcome.
To all the volunteers that make things happen at Lakeview UC - from looking after the property projects (and there have been a lot!!), serving on Council and Committees, looking after Sunday School, reading, greeting, coffee time and all the jobs in between….you are all awesome…
