Summer is fast approaching and we are working on getting the lawn greened up for Summer Worship on the Lawn. Starting Sunday July 6th to Sunday August 31 at 10:30am we will  (weather permitting) be holding Sunday worship on the lawn. Bring your lawn chairs and your coffee and join us.

Lakeview United Church chose to celebrate the 100th Anniversary in part by "reaching out".  We set out to purchase and fill 100 backpacks to support the vulnerable population to be distributed by Central United Church.  The first  38  filled backpacks were blessed at our May 18th worship service by Rev. Jope.  They were picked up for distribution at a special event on May 25th, "Feeding the People", focused specifically on the Indigenous population. The backpacks were filled with clothing, essentials, hygiene supplies and treats. Our congregation embraced this project with enthusiasm and continue to do so to fill the remaining 62 backpacks!

Great news from Lakeview UC Sunday School..... Music and Stories for 3 to 6 year olds is on summer break but will return in the fall!

CHOIR PRACTICES

Choir practices are paused until the fall. Have a great summer!

Campus United Calgary is grateful to the David Ferguson Music Fund for supporting its drumming ministry program.
